Study for Saturday Zechariah 5
We’ll be focusing on the construction of a new Babylon, not the physical Babylon which was destroyed by the Medes-Persians but a Babylon so powerful that the Lord must call his people out of it as she leads nations and kings to be drunk in her debauchery. What is going on here… let’s see if we can find out
Preparation Homework for Zechariah 5:
Read and Understand:
Isaiah 13 and 14
Revelation 14, 16, and 17
Please be diligent to write a quick 1 or 2 lined summary outlining the chapter for your own notes and prepare that for the class.
Personal Growth Homework:
Write down three concepts that always stick out to you when you read the word no matter if you’re reading in the Prophets, the Torah, or the Gospels.
Write down 2 things that people say about you, about what you do, or the type of person you are. These random people should be in agreement, saying the same thing. Let’s see what gifts the Lord has given you that you have been a blessing to other people.
Milestones - Every project has major milestones which are big events that you plan out in a project that are focus points to attain in your schedule. HaShem has the same, you will notice in the scripture that HaShem mentions several ‘milestones’ that he points your attention to. An example is bringing the Israelites out of Egypt. This one is so big that HaShem even has a holiday dedicated to it besides having his prophets and judges speak on it.
Look at the scripture and see if you can outline some of these milestones, events that HaShem directs our attention to. These milestones will help us with the understanding of the Millennial Kingdom.
